This material will absorb the extra moisture whereas other types of materials will cling to your skin (which can be uncomfortable and unhealthy).
You should also avoid wearing tight clothing if you can. Shorts and pants that are too tight will increase moisture and make your body temperature go up. This can increase your risk of getting a yeast infection.
2. Change Feminine Products Often
When that time of the month rolls around, make sure you change your pads, panty liners, or tampons often.
You should change your pad at least once every six hours and your tampon at least once every four hours. If you have a heavy flow, you may need to do this even more often.
3. Wipe from Front to Back
This might sound obvious, but you should always wipe from front to back after using the bathroom. Otherwise, you might accidentally push microorganisms up into your vagina. If this happens, it can lead to a yeast infection.
4. Don’t Wear Wet Clothes or Bathing Suits
After you go swimming or get a good workout at the gym, don’t sit around in your damp clothes. Get changed as soon as possible.
